Absinthe A5 Jailbreak Updated To v 0.4, Brings OS X 10.5 And Support For PPC And Intel Users…

by Jimmi on February 2, 2012

A hot news from Chronic Dev-Team member that Absinthe, the tool which is used for the jailbreak of A5 devices (i.e iPad2 and iPhone 4S) on iOS 5.0.1, has just been updated to version 0.4…

Hithrto, we have been very impressed with this particular jailbreak, perhaps more so than those released previouly. its not just because it managed to crack every device currently running Apple’s iOS 5.0.1,
but it has been well-maintained ever since, with the constant updates and maintenance release that ensuring the smoothest possible jailbreaking experience moving forward.

People can not quite recall seeing quite as much dedication amongest the devs striving to unlock the full potential of your iPhone,iPad and iPod touch devices. Before the jailbreak was released.. A so-called Dream Team was formed.that team consistently working on Jailbreak and aiding the Chrnoic Dev-Team to meet demands of famously-impatient public as quickly as possible…

Now, the site’s crash feature means now you can notify the team.. the team lead by the Chronic Dev, enabling issue to be resolved in an efficient manner. Although jailbreaking in any way, shape or form is viewed in a negative light by thorse gracing Cupertino.Tim Cook’s software developers could certainly take a leaf from the Chronic Dev-Team’s book when it comes to swiftly releasing updates to fix problems.

The short changelog listing the improvements:
Version 0.4

Mac: added support for OSX 10.5, PPC and Intel CPU

added consistency check on startup to make sure required files are in place

Windows: fixed bug in payload generator that might cause a crash

Please note, there’s no need to re-jailbreak, so this release only applies to those who have yet to jailbreak their devices. At the bottom of this post are direct links, straight from the greenpois0n website.
